George Gershwin(1898-1937)

Personal Opinion: one of my favourite pianists and composers. Most famous for his opera "Porgy and Bess" wich contains the classic "Summertime" covered by hundreds or maybe thousands of musicians in the world. His music was often written with his brother(Ira Gershwin) wich wrote many of the lyrics related to George Gershwin music... he also composed for solo piano, for orchestra,...

My favourite works from him are his solo piano pieces and performances wich demonstrate his excellent technique and improvisation.
